We are family!
Performance Powder Coating was founded in 2011 to meet the demand for powder coating in this area. And since it is an Eco-Friendly process, it made it an appealing business venture for us to pursue. Mark Bristol, founder/owner had been in manufacturing for over 30 years and was looking to strike out on his own. He did the market research, created a business plan, took a crash course in powder coating and was off and running. PPC started out as a one-man show and after only 6 months Mark began adding to the fold to keep up with the work demand. His time at PPC on his own gave him the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of the business, from drumming up customers to powder coating to keeping the work cranking out.
Son Luke Bristol came on board in 2013, with a background in truck, diesel and concrete work. His mechanical skills, attention to detail, and efficiency are hugely integral to keeping the machines running smoothly and getting the work done on-time and on-budget. When he’s not tinkering with the machines, you’ll find him doing product prep, masking, packing, estimating, and running the Hot Black Oxide system.
Brother Jake Bristol also has a background in manufacturing and has been at PPC for over 7 years. He’s the Powder Coating King! The correct application process is critical to getting an even finish on the product. Race car chassis are one of the most difficult things to powder coat and Jakes’ critical eye and steady spray-gun hand delivers perfection every time. He keeps his spray booth extremely clean which is critical to ensuring quality products. When he’s not running the gun, he’s prepping parts, masking and packing.
Niece Danica Cantin is the most recent family member to join in the fun. You’ll find her Bead Blasting, doing product preparation, masking, packing and keeping things tidy and clean.
And last but not least, Mark’s wife Stacia keeps an eye on the books and the team. She is our bookkeeper, financial planner and Human Resources director.
